Born and raised as a bike rider. Dad was 25 mile national record holder in 1965, Mum was National 12 and 24 hr time trial champion. Went to France in 1996 as a first year senior to persue a career in cycling, won 5 races. Moved on to Italy in 1997 with Dave Rayner funding. Raced 3 years as U23 for Italian teams.

Won World cup in 1999, and turned pro for USPS.

Raced pro until 2007, then turned to riding the Italian Granfondo scene.

Spent most of my life with cycling as my job. Now working for Planet X bikes, putting my experience back in, in many ways.
