Whippet Alfine Bikes Launch

Introducing the brand new On-One Whippet Alfine hub gear equipped Carbon Hartails. Created for a new wave of riders looking for a smoother, faster, sleeker alternative to derailleur gears, the Whippet Alfine bikes mark a new direction in MTB technology, available now from just £1199.

Our lightest cross country frame couples perfectly with Shimano's excellent hub geared systems. Hub gears offer streamlined simplistic operation- with increased power transfer, instant shifts (even at standstill) and optimum chain line. Alfine makes sense whether you are looking for a stripped down XC race bike, low maintenance daily ride or reliable long distance trail machine.

Dear Sir, I'm interested in buying your Whippet Alfine 8 or 11. However, I'm residing at Malaysia. Dose your Co. have any distributor(s) at Malaysia, Singapore or Brisbane, Australia? Many Thanks.

Can i convert my On One Inbred Slot Drop Out 2nd Generation frame into a 650B.Mine is a 16 inch frame. My front suspension is going to be a 2010 Reba Worldcup. Thanks :)

  • Doug

What are the chances I can fit a 650b(27.5) on this frame?

Great bike, love the concept! I know its a frame for many set ups, but i dont want the extra lugs and bulges. I think if you are using a single up front and a hub gear i would like a frame with clean tubes to make the most of the simplicity. That would be just so good. Still, as i said, it is still a mighty fine frame and build. Its just them damn lugs and bracketary stopping me from buying one. Keep up the good work Alan Jones

11 Speed Whippet Alfine weighs in at just 24lbs. Pretty good really...

Cheers DoH. Had a spare set of green and blue washers so have re-routed my cable along the top tube and down the seat stay. Much tidier now

  • DoH (On-One Team)

Hi david. The arm can be mounted in whichever orientation suits your frame's cable routing. We have found no issues with running it this way. The blue and green washers are the ones to use on slot drop-outs. Hope that helps.

Would be interested to know what the weight of the Alfine 11 version is. Also would be interest to know how well this holds up to xc racing?

  • DavidM

Just finished a Carbon 456 Alfine 8 (just needs a chain!). I see you guys have the arm that takes the gear cable pointing up the seat stay. I have mine running along the chain stay as I thought it needed to be horizontal. I take it there are no issues running it the way you guys have it? Which no-turn washers did you use? Really like these new additions.
