On-One Sponsor Purple Mountain Events

On-One Sponsor Purple Mountain Events

We're delighted to announce we've teamed up with Purple Mountain to sponsor some exciting new events to the UK race calendar.

We're really excited about working with Purple Mountain (an independent trail centre operator in Kielder and Dalby Forest) to bring you some new and exciting events. The first of which being the Kielder Calling 2011.

After a successful first year, the Kielder Calling is once again set in the heart of the stunning Kielder Forest, Northumberland over the bank holiday weekend 28-29th May 2011 and will again feature some of the first class, all weather single track available anywhere. A large mix of fast flowing singletrack and forest fire road makes up the true leg burning but fun-filled 7 mile course.

With a slightly reworked race format from last year, the Kielder Calling will see the 3hr junior/novice race and 6hr enduro held on the Saturday building up to the main event of the 12hr race on the Sunday. Categories extend from solo, pairs to teams of four across all races. Rumour has it that we may even be nominating some of the office employees for an On-One staff team!

As we're supporting the event, podium finishers can expect to receive some fantastic On-One goodies. Plus there will be some great giveaways in the event goodie bag, along with an event medal for every competitor.

Alongside the weekend's race action there will be a full event arena complete with several On-One demo bikes, with all the latest kit and tech support. Camping facilities are available all weekend, with on site catering and BBQ just a stones throw away from the action.

Further information can be found at the Kielder Calling website with online entry at XCRacer.com

If that sounds like your cuppa tea then you might also want to pencil in the weekend of 23rd-24th of July as we're working with Purple Mountain on something BIG! We can't say a great deal just yet, but let's just say you might need your mountain bike AND your road bike, along with a tent and a BBQ! ;-)
