Alfine 11 - The Sequel......Looks sweet and first impressions are the bike is more lithe than the C456....time will tell be back with an update.Anyone else riding an alfine11? How you getting on with them?
Hi Andy,
Sorry not been on the site and missed your comment.
The ride factor, especially this time of year, is fantastic, not particularly light in weight but extremely responsive - more so than the C456 hence the lithe comment.
For me, the carbon's geometry is a little shallower on the seat angle and makes the bike feel a little slouchy (I know it is supposed to be the same), it might be I prefer the Ti feeling which is light and springy, I dont know, all I do know is I have both the original Lynskey 456 and this one and they both knock spots off the carbon!
Hope that helps
Rick
Hi there. What a great long-term ride and such a simple concept ! I'm intrigued about the "lithe" comment though. What's the full spec on yours ? Cheers. A.
Hi,
Nice ride, shame you don't have those natty pink handlebars!!! The main thing I find with the Alfine11 is the cable casing is incredibly tight and I need to keep the cable lubed to keep the gear change smooth.
