Italy Road Trip Diary
Here's the story of our epic road trip to Italy- visiting suppliers, going to shows and races, and testing ourselves and our bikes bikes on death defying Alpine descents. It was hard work but well worth it. We returned with a van full of rare kit and breaking news deals- signed, sealed and delivered...
We set off on a 3600 mile road trip fresh and happy, but after 20 hours of diving became tired and intoxicated by the stench of Tom's shoes...
So when we finally arrived at Lake Garda we did a show and then rode some Titus prototypes 1400m upwards...
Then went down the knarliest ride of our lives.....
We wanted to ride everywhere we went, on and off road...
As the scenery became more and more beautiful
Finally got out on the hill and bumped into the local MTB club!!!
Which was a good excuse for a skinfull...
Dropped into lots of suppliers digging out the best stuff including rare tubs!
And some of the most Euro products know to man..
Which made us happy...
And proud to be British
We saw a lot of souped up rickshaws...
Some fantastic old cities
with narrow streets...
down which we nearly got the van stuck many times...
We got fat on lots of generously proportioned banquets...
And drunk lots of Grappa!!!
Went to a Granfondo and blagged a super bling tour bus
As well as a lift in a red Ferrari
The talent got too hot to handle...
But there were plenty of dummy's to help out
We nearly won the race...
Then we drove home with a van chocka block full of Italian goodies...

Back to the north where the clouds were already gathering...

Hey boys, what a blast. I'm not jealous at all as I move to Verona in 3 weeks, so shall be dribbling with heat exhaustion attempting your mad climb in Garda. It's location looks like the northern end of the lake? Where is it exactly if I may ask? There's so much mad stuff in those hills, you could ride for years and not do them all. Anyhow, very best wishes to you all with the new products. Very happy to see more Italian (European) product filtering into your shelves. The new Titus 29er looks fab.....remember though to keep us all informed on the final approved birth of the new 140 Ti hardtail though? Jolly good luck. Peter

That's the prototype Titus Rockstar 29er carbon that we were testing. And I can tell you it's a total winner! More info soon...
