Sunshine, bikes and bargains at Bike Radar Live

Last weekend's BikeRadar Live event was a fantastic success. We had a blast; the British summer did us proud with beautiful sunshine all weekend. We had more bikes on show than ever before, with loads of interest in the new Carbon 456 at £1199, the carbon Whippet XC frame, which is now available to pre-order and the Ti 456 which is due out in September.

We also brought our favourite pimped up Pompetamine with old skool Brookes saddle, cold chain and carbon bars. It's great to see that people are so enthusiastic about such a classic bike.

With all the big name brands in one place, loads to do and a great atmosphere, if you didn't manage to make it this year we would recommend sticking it in your diary now for next year.

Hi, I would never buy directly from Far East despite atractive pricing. There is too much risk that you will pay for frame and receive bunch of sticks, or something that will snap on the first rock. Just explained my concern :) Waiting for carbo 29er... Cheers! I.

Hi Sebastien. Well, we did look twice at that one... Fortunately there are some key differences between our new Whippet frame and the E-Hongfu number. Our frame has the following features: BB92 bottom bracket for a stiffer BB and better power transfer, 'Swapout' rear drop outs for best single speed compatibility, custom designed rear seat stays and a direct mount front mech. Add tried and tested On-One geometry and we feel that you have a completely different and substantially better frame with the Whippet. Also bear in mind that the Chinese wholesalers don't have any in stock anyway... Cheers, Jon.

Hi, Looks terribly familiar... http://www.e-hongfu-bikes.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=68&products_id=216 Are they producing frames for you? Do you know that they are selling them as well by their own? Cheers! I.
