Continental's X-King (pronounced 'cross king') is a jack of all trades, ready to rule the most varied trail conditions with ease. This ProTecion version offers increased durability and puncture resistance with minimal weight sacrifice.
The newly developed tread pattern can do just about anything, blending features from the updated Mountain and Race King models for a tire that looks and acts aggressive, but rolls quickly. Rounded symmetrical knobs provide ample traction when braking and climbing, while protruding shoulder lugs grip like super glue on the corners without slowing you down on the straights.
The advanced Black Chili rubber compound performs exceptionally well, increasing grip and durability while lowering rolling resistance.
ProTection casing features 4 fabric plies for a total of 240 TPI, ensuring exceptional ride quality, durability and puncture protection -- with just a few extra grams over its Race Sport counterpart, the result is a tire that really holds its own during Marathons or extended tours.
