Meet Mary... Our classic alt-bar. We like to think of it as an extreme sweep riser bar. It's a bit odd, but makes a lot of sense once you give it a go.
Hello, In order to assist us buyer's who are overseas and can't visit your retail store, I would suggest you create a diagram of these bars and all your other bars, in a side by side view with a traditional riser bar well known all over the world. This would allow us to make a better assessment of the change in position your various bars will afford us. Then people like me would be able to make a more informed choice and take a chance on something new without necessary needing to see it first. You do provide good information about the dimensions of your various bars, but a an overlapping diagram would give me a much better idea. Just a suggestion. Peace, Tom
Sorry Kevin, our sale was due to finish at midday today, prices went up at 1pm... Sincere apologies but we couldn't hold these prices forever. At £29.99 the Mary bars are still incredible value...
I just had a mary bar in my basket and when I refreshed the page the price jumped from 19.99 to 29.99 ... what's the deal?
Hi Hana, I'd say the 'Ppolished' black is the nearest to our Inbred frame.
Hi, which color (shine) is closer to your inbred black frame-'black' or 'polished black'?By closer I mean in terms of shine? On the picture both bars are kind of shiny...Also will you have the bars in 'black' 25,4mm any soon? Thanx
Cheers Simon, we're glad your pleased with them. Happy trails!
Something about Mary...Unsure about buying these bars? well don't be they are totally awesome! To think I nearly cancelled these bars from my bike build! excellent handling on trails, can't praise them ( or my whole bike enough!) I am in no way connected to "on-one" or "Planet X" just a very happy customer.
Is this bar made from steel or alu ?
Hi NYorks, I just weighed a set of the 31.8mm clamp versions and they came out at approx. 285g, whereas a Fleegle Pro weighs approx. 240g.
What sort of weight are these, compared to the Fleegle Pro. I like the idea of the backsweep and want something low and comfortable, for a rigid front end.
Hi Steve, what material/colour are you after? We have the Chromo Steel Chrome finish ones in stock in 25.4mm, you can find them at http://on-one.co.uk/i/q/HBOOMAC/on-one-mary-handlebar-chromo-steel-chrome-finish---254mm-clamp
When are the 25.4 mm Mary bars due again please?
Sorry Stephen, my mistake! It is in fact approx. 185mm.
I'm talking about the grip/lever area, 75mm dosen't seem enough it should be at least 200mm.
Hi there, what's the distance between the end of the bar and the start of the first bend? Is there any reason why the bar cannot be cut shorter? Thanks, Steve.
Hi Bob, the centre section measures approx 140mm. I guess it depends how big your stem and your light is really.
I'm intrigued by the Mary bars, but I'm concerned that there won't be enough room to mount a light bracket adjacent to the stem. Could you please tell me the length of the center section of the bar (measured at the forward end)? Thanks!
Sounds good to me Mondo.... Shipping to NZ is £25 for up to 1kg packed weight (so 1 or 2 bars would be the same).
Midge for the cross bike and Mary for the Mtb sounds like it could be the best combination? Could alwyas swap them around to compare. Would would cost be to ship 1 and/or 2 bars to NZ? Thanks.
Very nice Handlebar for my 26" Touring Bike. Thanks!
Hi Mondo. Both Mary and Midge bars are unconventional yet highly versatile. Riders have used them in most ways, for MTB, road, cross, commuting... Essentially, the Midge is halfway to a drop bar and takes road levers whereas the Mary is a "flat" bar that is anything but flat- extremely swept a bit like Harley Davidson low riders... Neither really should be much cop off road but as it happens both are great! A completely new riding experience!
Hello Hitoshi. Shipping to Japan costs £24 with TNT International. Many thanks.
Hi. please teach about "On-One Mary Handlebar". Can you ship this bar? And how much delivery fee to Japan?
Saw some of your bars at the recent World Single Speed champs in NZ. Can you enlighten me about the Mary and Midge bars, what sort of bikes (mtb, cross, tour, road etc) they best suit etc. Thanks.
Best damn bars since bicycles got round wheels. Sweet Mary.
Hi Dan, the polished black and silver are simply the new versions that are currently on order (so no photos yet I'm afraid). I'll try and get a photo of the Ti colour done later today. Cheers.
What's the difference between the polished black/silver vs. 'regular' black/silver? Got any pics for comparison? Also interested in the Ti color but can' find any pics. Got some? ~dan
Hello Fabio The bars are 645mm wide. These bars havnt changed design they are still the classic design.
Hello, Which is the width of the new Mary bar? It has a sharper back angle than the older version, no? Thanks to take time to answer my questions, Fabio
