Deda Newton Deep Drop Handlebar
Deda Newton 31.7 bars changed the road bike world when they introduced these handlebars. Deda Elementi was one of the first component company to design an oversized handlebar/stem combination for road bikes. The Newton 31.7mm concept focused on the use of graduated triple butting at the critical points of stress. By beefing up triple butted tubing where the bar makes contact with the stem increases cross-section in the center zone. This innovative development created a stronger, more powerful bar/stem combination offering weight-savings and design configuration advantages over the traditional handlebar/stem combination. Today, Deda Newton 31.7 handlebars are considered the industry standard for competition bars.
